Wide-eyed, the geese stare blankly at Disco and Doodles.
“I thought honk was both hello and goodbye?” says Doodles, confused.
“They probably have water in their ears.” Turning back to the birds, Disco shouts, “HONK HONK HONK!”
The geese emit a loud, vibrating hiss that sends her scrambling to Doodles’ side.
“How rude! Come on, Doodles,” she sniffs, lifting her chin as she loops her arm through his. “Good thing we didn’t bring the fruitcake.”
